Job Description

Key Responsibilities
Plant Operations
Supervise day-to-day manufacturing operations to achieve production targets.
Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machinery, and materials.
Improve plant productivity, capacity utilization, and operational efficiency.
Monitor daily production performance and implement corrective actions.

Production Planning & Execution
Coordinate with PPC, procurement, and sales teams to ensure on-time delivery.
Develop production schedules based on customer demand.
Minimize downtime and production losses.
Ensure adherence to manufacturing SOPs.

Quality Management
Ensure compliance with established quality standards.
Drive reduction in customer complaints and internal rejection.
Implement quality improvement initiatives and root cause analysis.
Maintain quality documentation and audit readiness.

Maintenance & Engineering
Ensure preventive and predictive maintenance of all machinery.
Improve machine uptime and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
Lead installation and commissioning of new equipment.
Optimize energy consumption and utility management.

Cost Optimization
Reduce manufacturing costs through productivity improvements.
Control material wastage, scrap, and rework.
Monitor departmental budgets and operating expenses.
Lead value engineering and continuous improvement projects.

Safety, Health & Environment (EHS)
Ensure full compliance with statutory safety regulations.
Promote a zero-accident culture.
Conduct safety audits, risk assessments, and emergency preparedness activities.
Ensure proper waste handling and environmental compliance.

People Leadership
Lead, mentor, and develop production and support teams.
Build a high-performance culture focused on accountability and continuous improvement.
Conduct performance reviews and identify training needs.
Foster employee engagement and discipline.

Compliance & Documentation
Ensure compliance with all applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
Maintain accurate production, maintenance, quality, and safety records.
Support customer, certification, and regulatory audits.
