Responsible for P & L Improvements
Implementing manufacturing strategies and action plans at the plant so as to attain the productivity and cash profit targets
Handling the full working of the plant. Responsible for day to day operations
Initiate plans and processes which minimize manufacturing costs through effective utilization of manpower, equipment, facilities, materials, energy and capital
Ensuring 100% compliance to all statutory requirements

Planning:

Inventory Management:
Managing the inventory at the Plant effectively with the SCM Head and aim towards maximizing the inventory turns.
Reducing the inventory carrying cost by effective planning
Monitor the availability of materials and spares in Stores and guide the Purchase Head to indent as per requirement
Interact with the local suppliers for material and equipment’s required, along with the Plant Purchase
Cost Savings:
Ensure reductions in scrap cost, in- process wastage cost, maintenance cost, Energy cost, etc.
Work with the Plant Purchase team for ensuring most cost effective purchase of raw materials/ non BOM items 
Regularly monitor the Plant MIS for tracking the cost
Plant Administration and Management:
Identify and prioritize tasks and activities involved in the day to day operations of the plant
Ensure the effective coordination of the various departments in the Plant to ensure synergies that will positively impact the Plant
Ensure adherence to safety, environment and health standards of EMS/ OHSAS and regularly monitor the same
Conduct the Safety Week in the Plant in line with the Safety Policy of the organization
Process Excellence:
Lead the implementation of new systems and process improvement measures like KANBAN, Kaizens, Pokayoke, 5S etc. at the Plant
Lead the TPM implementation across the Plant and to review the parameters of PQCDSM regularly
Form CFTs in the Plant to address specific issues or to undertake improvement projects in the Plant to ensure cross- functional participation in process/product improvement
