Job Description

An Assembly Manager oversees daily assembly line operations, leading staff to meet production targets while ensuring high quality, safety, and efficiency by planning workflows, training teams, managing resources, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating cross-functionally with departments like Quality Control and Engineering to continuously improve processes. Key duties involve scheduling, process optimization, performance monitoring, inventory management, and fostering a motivated, compliant workforce to achieve company goals and profitability.

Operations Management: 
Direct and coordinate daily assembly line activities, ensuring production schedules and output goals are met.

Staff Leadership: 
Supervise, train, mentor, and motivate assembly teams, ensuring adherence to procedures, safety protocols (like PPE), and quality standards.

Quality & Safety: 
Implement and enforce safety protocols, conduct inspections, investigate incidents, and resolve quality issues to maintain high standards.

Process Improvement: 
Develop and implement strategies for workflow optimization, cost reduction, and efficiency gains, often using Lean or Continuous Improvement principles.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: 
Work with Engineering, Supply Chain, and Quality Assurance to refine processes and integrate new products or technologies.

Reporting & Administration: 
Monitor performance metrics, prepare production reports, manage daily paperwork, and handle inventory/supplies.

Essential Skills & Qualifications
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Thorough understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control, and safety regulations.
Experience in a supervisory/managerial role in a manufacturing or assembly environment.
Ability to manage resources, budgets, and drive performance.
