Job Description

Reporting to: Chief Operating Officer / Managing Director
No. of Direct Reports: Plant Heads of assigned cluster

The Vice President – Manufacturing Operations will be responsible for overseeing a cluster of manufacturing units, ensuring their operational health, profitability, and alignment with organizational goals. This is a strategic leadership role, requiring a balance of operational excellence, people management, and visionary execution to drive continuous improvement across multiple plants.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic & Operational Leadership:
Take complete ownership of P&L for the assigned cluster of plants, ensuring profitability and cost optimization.
Translate the corporate vision and mission into actionable manufacturing strategies for each plant.
Drive capacity utilization, productivity improvement, and waste reduction initiatives across units.
Quality & Compliance:
Establish and standardize quality management systems ,ensuring compliance with ISO/GMP/QMS standards.
Ensure adherence to regulatory, safety, and environmental norms at all facilities.
Production & Planning:
Oversee production planning & control, aligning with customer demand, delivery schedules, and inventory norms
Ensure smooth coordination between sales, production, and supply chain teams.
People & Leadership Development:
Provide strategic direction and mentoring to Plant Heads and senior functional managers.
Build leadership capability within the cluster to support succession planning and sustainable growth.
Continuous Improvement & Innovation
Lead lean manufacturing, Kaizen, Six Sigma, and TPM initiatives to drive operational excellence.
Introduce automation, new technology, and best practices to improve efficiency and product quality.
Stakeholder Management
Collaborate closely with senior management, sales, R&D, and finance to align plant performance with business goals.
Represent cluster operations in management review meetings and contribute to long-term strategic planning.
