Job Profile:
Troubleshooting the technical faults and coordinating in regular preventive and corrective maintenance of mould for reducing machinery downtime to minimum.
Receive job order from Production Department and make planning & achieve production target on time of moulds readiness.
Review Tool Maintenance progress as per the calendar on a daily basis with the team, Program Management and QA to alert Production Department incase of delays ahead of committed dates for Tool corrections.
Review of detailed drawing and design for mould Part details and assembly as well as Injection m/c .
Identify, assess and approve sources for Tool Steel / Mould Accessories / Hot Runner Systems / Standard Parts like screws / springs / ejector pins / sleeves/ Hyd. Cylinder for mould building and maintenance.
Knowledge in using E.D.M, plasma cutting, drilling, MIG& TIG welding and other related machines.
Identify and maintain inventory of injection mould spares and consumables, plan and implement preventive / breakdown maintenance of all injection moulds to keep the tool down time at minimum as per agreed key result measures.
Review training requirements for Fitters, Machinists and Tool Makers based on the periodical competence assessment made by Tool Design, Machine Shop In-charge and co-ordinate with HR to organize required training both In-house and External agencies.
Drive Key performance indicators such as Tool Maintenance Status, On Time Delivery and First Pass Quality of Tools and provide data for weekly / monthly review meetings such as Reform Tool & Continual improvement report.
Send monthly performance reports for the above including people utilization, preventive and break down maintenance data every month before the reporting period.
Set performance goals to Tool Maker / Machinists aligned to company goals and objectives and appraise them periodically. Document and provide feed back of the appraisals of junior employees.
