Job Description

Reporting to Department Head

Key Responsibilities
Lead the overall Quality function for recycled plastics and compounded materials by defining quality strategies, setting inspection standards,and ensuring strict compliance with customer requirements, regulatory norms, and industry specifications.

Oversee advanced quality inspections of incoming wastes, granules and additives, master batches, in-process materials, and finished compounds,ensuring robust sampling plans, defect analysis, and alignment with product performance expectations.

Drive quality data analytics and reporting, utilizing statistical tools to monitor trends, identify systemic issues, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to enhance product consistency and reduce process variation.

Act as the primary liaison for customer and supplier quality management, managing technical discussions, leading complaint investigations, coordinating audits, negotiating quality agreements, and ensuring supplier compliance with quality standards.

Lead continuous improvement and process optimization initiatives across recycling, extrusion, and compounding operations by introducing best practices, evaluating new testing methods, strengthening quality systems, and enhancing productivity and cost efficiency.

Supervise, mentor, and develop the quality team, ensuring effective execution of Quality Management System (QMS) in-process checks,adherence to standardized quality protocols, and building a culture of operational excellence and accountability.

Ensure execution of work instructions, SOPs and protocols for operations within QC lab

Thorough knowledge of physical, mechanical, chemical, rheologica testing of PP/PPCP/HDPE/ABS/LDPE etc.

Understanding of polymer compatibilities and cross contaminations

Qualification
10–12 years of specialized experience in plastic recycling, extrusion, and compounding, with deep expertise in quality systems, process optimization, and customer quality management.
B. Tech or Diploma in Plastic Technology / B.Sc.

Technical Knowledge
Familiar with polymer testing methods, lab instrumentation, and quality standards
