Job Description

To take complete ownership of the rigid PVC film plant — production, maintenance (machines and utilities), film quality, and customer audit readiness. The Plant Head will be the single point of accountability for output, quality, uptime, manpower, and compliance, and will run the plant to the standards expected by large pharmaceutical customers.

Deep, hands-on command over rigid PVC formulation — PVC resin selection (K-value), stabilizer systems, internal/external lubricants, processing aids, impact modifiers, pigments/tinting — and the ability to fine-tune recipes for film quality, clarity, thermoformability, and cost.

Strong mastery of the rigid PVC film process — high-speed mixing/blending, compounding, calendering line operation, take-off, embossing, thickness/gauge control, annealing, winding, and slitting — and the ability to diagnose and permanently resolve film defects (gels/fisheyes, thickness variation, colour drift, surface defects, brittleness, poor forming).

Key Responsibilities

Production Management
Plan And Execute Daily/monthly Production Schedules To Meet Dispatch Commitments With Optimal Machine Loading And Changeover Planning.
Own Plant Kpis: Output (Mt/day), Yield, Rework/regrind %, Wastage, Power And Steam Consumption Per Kg, And Oee.
Drive Batch-wise Formulation Discipline, Raw Material Consumption Norms, And In-process Controls.
Lead, Train, And Develop Shift In-charges, Operators, And Technicians; Build A Second Line Of Leadership.

Maintenance – Machines & Utilities
Full Responsibility For Preventive, Predictive, And Breakdown Maintenance Of The Calendering Line, Mixers, Mills, Extruder/strainer, Embossing And Slitting Machines.
Independently Manage Plant Utilities Beyond Machine Ancillaries — Boiler / Thermic Fluid Heater, Air Compressors, Chilling Plant, Cooling Towers, Dg Set, Electrical Distribution — Including Their Upkeep, Efficiency, Statutory Compliance, And Amc/spares Planning.
Maintain Maintenance Documentation: Pm Schedules, History Cards, Spare Parts Inventory, And Breakdown Analysis (Rca/capa).
Minimize Unplanned Downtime And Drive Energy-efficiency Initiatives.

Film Quality & Process Control
Ensure Consistent Film Quality: Thickness Tolerance, Width, Colour (Delta E), Gloss, Transparency, Mechanical Properties, And Thermoforming Performance At Customer End.
Work Closely With Qc/qa On In-process Checks, Finished Goods Release, Coas, And Customer-complaint Resolution With Structured Rca And Capa.
Establish And Continuously Improve Sops, Work Instructions, And Process Parameter Records For Every Product Grade.

Pharma Customer & Audit Readiness (Must-have Exposure)
Proven Experience Working With Large Pharmaceutical Customers Who Conduct Vendor/gmp Audits Of Packaging Material Suppliers.
Working Knowledge Of The Systems Such Customers Expect: Iso 15378 (Gmp For Primary Packaging Materials) / Iso 9001, Documentation And Record Control, Batch Traceability, Change Control, Deviati
