Job profile-
Provide technical leadership for scientific injection moulding process to steer production operations and support the organization in the realization of the company's vision and achieve the production goals.
Plan and implement improvements to plant operations in regards to efficiencies of equipment, throughput, reliability, manpower, safety, utilities, cost, and operational needs.
Establish and implement continuous improvement projects and activities including 5S, Kaizen, EMAAS, Lean Manufacturing, 6 Sigma, 8D & 7QC tools, etc.
Adhere to production targets, quality parameters, review the machine healthiness, and update the status/decisions to the management in daily production meetings.
Confer with management, engineering, and other sta regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate the production process.
Conduct routine maintenance functions including repair, troubleshooting, diagnostics, and maintenance reliability and ensure to maximize Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) and minimize Mean Time To Repair (MTTR).
Ensure minimum die/mould change overtime and trial new mould/die on the machine. Contribute to Process set-up of spruce picker robot and 4 axis robot.
Plan and execute shutdowns & start-up activities for plant modification jobs, maintain equipment history, and prepare Management Information Reports.
Monitor and report issues with injection moulds, make recommendations for refurbishment based on production factors such as cycles, process capability and tooling history.
Provide technical leadership and mentor ship to process technicians, operators and other moulding personnel. Stay abreast of all applicable process technology, equipment and control technology to optimize operations to meet business and plant goals.
