Job Description

Reporting to Plant Head

Experienced candidates from Recycle industry. No INJECTION MOUNLDING profiles.
Candidate should be comfortable in traveling / transfer from one plant to another plant.

Key Responsibilitie:-
Lead overall production operations for recycled plastic recycling/compounding, including planning, scheduling, and monitoring daily manufacturing activities to ensure targeted output, quality, and cost efficiency.

Analyse complex production and quality data (moisture %, ash content, contamination, melt flow index, colour variation, CP/CPK) and drive corrective and preventive actions to improve material consistency, extrusion stability, and granule quality.

Implement continuous improvement and process optimization initiatives, focusing on throughput enhancement, energy savings, scrap minimization, line balancing, and maximizing recovery from recycled raw materials.

Provide technical leadership for extrusion lines, pelletizers, feeders,and auxiliary equipment—optimizing process parameters,troubleshooting machine issues, and ensuring smooth compounding of PE/PP/ABS/other recycled polymers.

Oversee incoming and final QC checks by ensuring adherence to SOPs,standardized process control plans, quality inspection protocols, and customer-specific requirements (RoHS, REACH, OEM standards).

Coordinate cross-functionally with procurement, logistics,maintenance, and quality teams to ensure uninterrupted material flow,timely dispatches, and alignment with production targets.

Supervise and mentor production teams including supervisors,operators, and shift in-charges; ensure skill development, training on new processes, and adherence to best manufacturing practices.

Manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs for extrusion machinery, washing lines, grinders, and testing equipment to minimize downtime and enhance machine reliability.

Ensure compliance with EHS, sustainability, and regulatory standards,promoting a safe working environment, adherence to pollution-control norms, waste-management rules, and circular-economy and recycling objectives.

Support new product development and customer trials by validating formulations, optimizing compounding recipes, and ensuring consistent scale-up from trial to full-scale production.

Drive documentation and reporting, including production MIS, process deviations, root-cause analyses, and continuous improvement reports for management review.

Oversee sorting and segregation and controlling of Infeed Material to washline. Thorough knowledge of polyolefin washing lines and latest development to produce good quality flakes.

Knowledge of single/twin screw extruder’s operations, temperature,profiles, basic maintenance, troubleshooting, deviation control and quality control factors.

Additional Skills
10–12 years of specialized experience in plastic recycling, extrusion, and compounding, with deep expertise in quality systems, process
Excellent man-management skills.

Relevant experience in plastic recycling industry
