Job Description

Product Testing
"(i) Create detailed process steps for each product testing at various stages of production
(ii) Train QC and Production teams (staff & workmen) on all QC stages.
(iii) Maintain discipline to ensure staff & workmen (In QC + Production teams) follow all the prescribed steps at each stage of production cycle
(iv) Train QC team members to do random checks on the product quality at any stage of production to assure the final quality before dispatch"

Monitor Testing parameters & Equipments
"(i) Monitor if the testing parameters are followed religiously by team members as per defined intervals
(ii) Random retesting of the products shall help in understanding the compliance parameters
(iii) Ensure regular maintenance & calibration of testing equipments, to save cost & reduce wastage of RM or FG, due to wrong product sampling / testing "

Cost Effectiveness
"(i) Redefine processes and QC steps which would help in saving wastage during production cycle for effective control on cost
(ii) Analyze for extra waste generation in testing/checking activities and explore the possibilities of waste reduction
(ii) Find alternatives with continous study to control cost at various points in QC and production processes"

Manage Customer Complaints (Internal & External)
"(i) Ensure customer complaints are addressed within defined timelines
(ii) Create a system to record customer complaint
(iii) Ensure timely updates on pending / closure of complaints, to all the concerned departments (internal) / external customers
(iv) To improvise on customer satisfaction, create monthly analysis and trends on all customer complaints & present to Management & Senior members
(v) Constantly look for opportunities to reduce total number of customer complaint due to Quality standards not being met (CAPA) "

Audits
"(i) Schedule audits to check adherence on process steps, by the team members (QC & Production teams) against exisitng / already defined process by QC.
(ii) Review the audit results and work towards process improvements for overall productivity
(iii) Keep a track on steps followed for actions suggested in the CAPA report (used for resolving customer complaints) & monitor effectiveness of resolutions suggested"

Reporting
"(i) Create daily quality reports and discuss with Production team on trends and anamolies. Look for solutions / improvements for the next day
(ii) Monthly, share analysis & trends of quality results / processes across:
a. Quality of RM / Other goods (Incomings)
b. Quality of In process materials / SFG &
c. Final quality of FG "

Innovation
"(i) Constant enhancement in quality parameters, adapting to new technologies which would help in increasing effeciency and speed in testings
(ii) Procurement of testing equipments that would support on the go / quick testing thus reducing wastage during production cycle "

Function Trainings & Skill Development
"(i) Identify skill gaps in coordination with HR
(ii) Work with HR to create engagement interventions with staff & workmen for skill enhancement
(iii) Conduct skill enhancement interventions / ensure adherence as per plan
(iv) Give cross functional projects to staff / workmen for new learnings"

Coordination with Other functions
"(i) Create a weekly / monthly forum with Management, PPC, Sales & Production teams to address new development concerns and understand internal and external customer feedback on product trials & quality output
(ii) Implement critical feedbacks in a step wise process on regular basis
(iii) Ensure issues are addressed immediately, aiming for minimum disruption"

Team Management / Player
"(i) Give clarity to team members on annual objectives / monthly targets of performance
(ii) Responsible for overseeing / supervising all activities within the team & guiding them
(iii) Developing team members to take up higher responsibilities by guiding, coaching & supporting them at all stages
(iv) Maintaining harmoniuos enviorment within the team, appreciating good work and promoting innovation & new ideas to flow
