Job Description

Key Responsibilities
Lead complete New Product Development (NPD) projects from concept, design, development, validation, and commercialization.
Manage development activities for plastic products/components and related packaging materials.
Coordinate with customers, suppliers, tool room, production, quality, purchase, and marketing departments.
Ensure timely completion of development projects as per committed timelines.
Conduct feasibility studies, costing analysis, product trials, and validation activities.
Monitor tooling development, sample approvals, pilot runs, and production readiness.
Review product specifications, drawings, BOMs, packaging standards, and technical documentation.
Drive continuous improvement and cost optimization in product design and manufacturing processes.
Coordinate packaging development activities including artworks, labels, printed cartons, and vendor approvals.
Maintain project trackers, development status reports, and MIS for management review.
Ensure compliance with quality standards, customer requirements, and regulatory norms.
Support troubleshooting and technical guidance during production ramp-up.
Lead and develop the NPD team for effective project execution.

Required Skills
Strong knowledge of plastics, injection molded products, product design, and manufacturing processes.
Good understanding of packaging development and printing coordination.
Strong project management and timeline monitoring skills.
Excellent communication, leadership, and team management abilities.
Knowledge of ERP systems, MS Office, and project tracking tools.
Problem-solving and decision-making capability.
