Job Description

Moulding Manager is responsible for overseeing all moulding operations to ensure efficient production, consistent quality, cost control, and safe working practices. This role leads moulding teams, optimizes processes, maintains equipment, and ensures production targets are met in line with company standards and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities
Operations & Production
Plan, organize, and supervise daily moulding operations
Ensure production schedules, output targets, and delivery timelines are met
Monitor cycle times, scrap levels, and productivity to improve efficiency
Troubleshoot moulding process issues and implement corrective actions

Quality & Compliance
Ensure products meet quality standards and customer specifications
Implement and maintain quality control procedures
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
Support audits and continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.)

Team Leadership
Lead, train, and motivate moulding supervisors, technicians, and operators
Allocate manpower effectively across shifts
Conduct performance evaluations and identify training needs
Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement

Equipment & Maintenance
Ensure proper setup, operation, and maintenance of moulding machines and moulds
Coordinate with maintenance teams to minimize downtime
Oversee preventive maintenance schedules and tooling management

Cost & Inventory Control
Control material usage, wastage, and operational costs
Coordinate raw material planning and inventory management
Support budgeting and cost-reduction initiatives

Reporting & Coordination
Prepare production and performance reports for management
Coordinate with departments such as Quality, Maintenance, Planning, and Engineering
Support new product trials, process validation, and scale-up activities

Preferred Skills
Experience with Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma
Familiarity with ERP or production planning systems
Strong analytical and continuous improvement mindset

Qualifications & Skills
Strong knowledge of moulding processes, materials, and tooling
Proven team management and problem-solving skills
Ability to read technical drawings and process documents
Good communication, planning, and decision-making abilities
