Identified Rural Markets as growth Engine for our product way back in 1993, with clear insights to expand the market and improve product liquidation-this gave us astounding 100% growth in Sales Volumes. Out of Box thinking as most MNC’s like ‘PENNZOIL, Shell, Mobil’ were focusing on Sales in Tier I markets, where as for us distant rural markets brought in Sales Volumes more than Twice the initial planned volume of 35 KL in a month.
Gained extensive exposure to various markets pan India, from Gujarat in the West, to UP in Central India, to J&K and the Punjab in the North, with varied ideology, weather & culture, business models, products & policies applicable to gain customers.
Distribution & Channel Management:
Despite this being a new venture, we were able to achieve 25% capacity utilization in the very first year and up to 40% by the end of the Third year Strengthened Logistical support at all levels of Distribution Network by controlling distribution damage by 50% and ensuring product supply in remotest markets by maintaining zero stock out scenarios Enhanced product availability & increased sales team size to improve sales & channel management Improved Distributor Network through new appointments in the Punjab, significantly increasing sales by 400 KL p/a & about 100 KL of Orchard Oils in the Season, Established a Distributor and Dealer Incentive policy mechanism & product pricing systems to suit the market competition, thereby maximizing Sales. Effectively improved the administration line up of the region for immediate action for resolution of complaints and implemented confidence building activities among thirty five big distributors and dealers, to gain their long term loyalty.
Product Launch and Brand Building:
Introduced the Product in shortest possible period of 4 months while leading a team of professionals to design & develop product formulations and packaging, enrolling material as well as product vendors, Built and enviable feedback and improvement system through Sales and Distribution channels to constantly upgrade design, quality and availability of the product on a consistent basis with outstanding results, Increased the Sales Volume for Chakda Oil by 25% within short span of time by repositioning the brand among masses through introduction of smaller SKUs with better brand visibility. A Special Hydraulic Oil Range was introduced, positioning the Brand among the Earth Moving Machinery segment of the Industry & increasing the sales volumes by 20%, and profits relatively.
Erection & Commissioning of Lube Blending Plant:
Steered a team of Thirty people including Engineers, Fabricators, Designers and Planners, for one of the fastest erection and Commissioning of 3600 KL per annum plant within 7 months with outstanding features like;
Erection of 50 ft high external tanks within timelines, despite adverse weather conditions, Used innovative mix of design, material and delivery systems and processes like semi-automatic blending and packing plant to ensure minimum downtime for the plant even in distress conditions.
Product Development & New Product Introduction:
Integrated the functions of product development, pack design and process development for effective results
Lead by me, the team developed a Biodegradable pesticide, fit for human Consumption for Apple Orchards, in J&K and Himachal, resulting in 100% increase in the Sales for the Market, Extensive study by me brought changes in the quality of the product and packaging, as per the practical requirements of the Next Generation Automotive Vehicles being used in the Country,
