A Study Of Environmental Effect On Degradation Of Plastics – PET & PCS
Description:
Virgin samples were kept under various testing methods to calculate their properties level also their visual appearance were observed.
Amount of plastic samples were placed in various environmental conditions such as (sunlight, cold, soil and salt water) for four weeks.
The sample’s physical and optical properties were calculated by various testing methods for every week.
Changes were gradually increased in the sample’s optical and physical properties after every week was observed.
These changes were indicated that the sample’s properties were affected by the environmental conditions respectively.
Fourth week sample’s properties were compared with the virgin sample’s properties to know about the degradation level in the treated samples.
Particular amount of degradation was detected in the treated samples.
