Academic Project In M.Tech – Polymer Science
Project Title: Preparation of silver nanoparticles by using garlic extract and their characterization.
Description: Green Synthesis of AgNPs was done by using Garlic Extract which acts as reducing as well as stabilizing agent. Characterization of AgNPs was done by Uv-visible spectroscopy, Zeta potential, Zeta size and TEM. Biopolymer films was prepared by using Chitosan, PVA and AgNPs and characterized. The presence of AgNPs was confirmed by using FTIR, DSC and TGA. This study demonstrates a simple, cost effective and environmentally synthesized AgNPs. The silver colloidal solution then synthesized were found to be stable for a very long period and retain their antimicrobial potential.

Project Title: Solving Schrodinger equation for diatomic molecules modeled as Morse oscillator.
Description: An excellent argument of the calculated ground state energies for various homo-atomic as well as hetro-atomic molecules with the literature values supports the Morse oscillator potential as a suitable model to study diatomic molecules. The work can be extended to study the wave function evolution of diatomic molecules under time dependent field by solving the Time Dependent Schrodinger Equation numerically.
