B.Tech Project Details
Title: Studies on Enhancement of Weather Resistance of Light Emitting Diodes (LED)
Summary: This project deals with enhancement of weather resistance of LED’s used in outdoor application. A material of Zinc Oxide nanoparticles has evenly dispersed in Poly vinyl alcohol and incorporated as a weather resistance coating on LED by Dip coating. We have prepared different concentration (Wt%) of ZnO nanoparticles (0, 0.5, 1, 3, 5, 10, 20) with respect to PVA. Coated samples have been subjected to Accelerated weathering at 50, 100, 150, 200 hours of radiation. Intensity of light has been measured by Photometer. The obtained result is increase in ZnO nanoparticles percentage decreases change of intensity of LED. Further Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) analysis states that ZnO nanoparticles prevent the degradation of LED’s.
