Role Description
The Business Development Manager will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and expansion of the company by identifying, prospecting, and securing new business opportunities with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), Tier 1 manufacturers across multiple industries. The primary focus will be on establishing and nurturing relationships with key decision-makers to promote our products and services, ultimately contributing to the company's incremental growth objectives.
New Business Development:
Develop and execute strategic business plans to penetrate new markets and acquire new customers.
Present our value proposition effectively, highlighting the benefits and competitive advantages of our products and services.
Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with prospective clients to secure profitable business opportunities.
Client Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with OEM's, key stakeholders, including purchasing managers, engineers, and executives, at target accounts.
Understand the unique needs and challenges of each client and propose tailored solutions that align with our offerings.
Serve as the primary point of contact for client inquiries, concerns, and negotiations, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
Collaboration and Coordination:
Collaborate closely with internal teams, including Sales, Marketing, R&D, and Production, to align business development efforts with company objectives and capabilities.
Provide regular updates and reports on sales activities, pipeline development, and market insights to senior management.
Continuous Improvement:
Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive dynamics, and technological advancements to identify new business opportunities and improve sales strategies.
Continuously evaluate and optimize sales processes and practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Market Research and Prospecting:
Conduct comprehensive market research to identify potential clients and market trends within the Automotive, Electrical, Appliance, Irrigation, Furniture, and related industries.
Identify and prioritize target accounts based on strategic alignment and growth potential.
Utilize various channels such as industry databases, networking events, and online platforms to prospect and generate leads.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or related field. MBA preferred.
Proven track record of success in business development or sales roles, preferably within the plastics or related manufacturing industry.
Strong understanding of the Automotive, Electrical, Appliance, Irrigation, and Furniture industries, including key players, market dynamics, and product requirements.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with diverse stakeholders.
Results-oriented mindset with a strategic approach to identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
Self-motivated, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
Willingness to travel as needed.
