Presently working with a leading manufacturer of polymer additives, mainly for PVC. 

Job Involves:

Synthesis and application testing of new heat stabilisers for PVC, mainly liquid stabilisers. The various types of stabilisers developed are Ba / Zn, Ba / Cd / Zn, Ca / Zn and Ca / Sn. These are developed either as improvements over existing BIAPL products or as competitor counter-types.



Application tests conducted are:

Static heat stability

Dynamic heat stability

Colour and clarity comparison of pressed plates

Plate-out test

Preparation and testing of plastisol sheets. These tests are conducted on the highly sophisticated Mathis Thermotester

Preparation of master batches (dry blend ) 



Was involved in a major basic research project for the discovery of novel co-stabilisers
