Shift Engineer in Assembly Section

Presently working with a leading company in South India

JOB PROFILE: 

Supervising the production activities in the shop floor. 

Supervising all operations in the assembly section Viz.welding,painting,deburring,leak. testing,washing,pickling etc.in order to complete assembly of couplings with in the given timeframe. 

Extracting the material from stores, quality and machine shop based on priority for assembly and follow ups. 

prepare assembly plan based on the schedule given by the product co-ordination and report accordingly. 

Coordinate material transfer/movement. Attending to technical problems of repair couplings from field. 

Inspect the assembly related materials indented at suppliers site required. 

To co-ordinate and ensure the testing of assembly in the test field. 



RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Thorough implementation of 5S,TPM&TQM activities in the concerned work place. 

To maintain and organize the file drawings,BOM,transfer order ,indents,checklist etc. 

Ensure the quality procedures are adhered to in the assembly of couplings. 

Coordination with stores, design and planning department as an when needed for clarifications. 

Reducing / eliminating rejections and reworks in assembly. 

Process improvements for easy and efficient operation in assembly. 

Ensure the safety norms and safe work practies are ashered in shop floor. 

Continously look for improved methods and systems to better past performance of each function. Checking the parts for quality (plastic, SS, rubber components) on receive from vendors and in process. 

Effective utilization of manpower for attaining the monthly production targets.
