Working on Polymeric Nanotechnology Research

Synthesis of Nanominerals (Bentonite, Kaolin and Ground calcium carbonate) and it?s usage in plastics, rubber, paint, ink, and papers.

Responsible for testing nanominerals (Zetasizer software, Particle size distribution (Sedigraph), Chemical analysis, BET specific surface area, XRD, Color value).

Surface modification of fillers by In Situ polymerization technique.

Develop formulations for nanocomposites master batch production.

Raw material selections for master batch production.

Prepare experimental plan & budgets for new products.

Bench mark competitor samples on periodical basis and validate use of new alternate/raw material.

R & D to pilot plant up scaling.

Select processing parameters for compounding (Co-rotating twin screw extruder, Injection Molding).

Responsible for testing nanocomposites (Instron series IX software, impact testing, Melt flow Index, HDT, SEM, TGA, DSC, DMTA).

Polymer/clay nanocomposites for automotive part applications (bumper, dashboard, waist line molding, cowl top cover).

Polypropylene (Homopolymer, Copolymer)

Nylon 6, 66, etc.
