Job profile  -

Heading Stores and Purchase department activities to ensure smooth operation and efficient functioning of stores/purchase department with respect to procurement of material, receipt, storage, issue of materials and inventory control etc. and lead the stores and purchase team consisting of 20 personnel.

Plan and lead Sourcing Strategy for different materials required in the Plant.

Timely procurement of quality and cost effective material, planning and procurement of regular and as and when required items against indents. 

Floating of enquires, Receipt of quotations, Preparation of comparative statement, Rate analysis, Negotiation with supplier, Preparation of purchase order and vendor development etc. 

Controlling the inventory by performing the various inventory analysis like ABC 

Analysis, XYZ Analysis, VED Analysis, FSN Analysis, GOLF Analysis, HML Analysis, 

etc, and identify the area wherein improvement are required.

Familiar with MULTI-UNIT SELECTIVE INVENTORY CONTROL IN THREEDIMENSIONAL APPROACH (MUSIC-3D) which focuses the attention at criticality, availability & cost factors on the material. This has been providing as a powerful tool in 

controlling the inventory.

Codification of material using scientific methods.

Maintaining the stock level like maximum/minimum/re-order level etc. 

Co- ordination with Production/Engineering/Accounts & Others Department.

RECEIPT SECTION:

Receiving the materials, counting& checking for damages or shortages if any. 

Preparation of Goods Receipt Note and Preparation of corresponding memos. 

Arranging for insurance claims, if any and Dispatches of rejected material, if any. 

Shifting of accepted material to custody. 

ISSUE SECTION:

Receiving the materials from Receipt section after quality clearance. 

Storing properly in correct location & Updating of location in the System. 

Issuing of materials in time & updating the data in system. 

Improvement of system to avoid un-useful handling of materials. 

STORAGE PRESERVATION:

Maintain proper housekeeping of material, applying different storage and preservative 

procedure for different kind of material like oils, lubricant, bearing, electrode, precious 

instruments chemicals etc. 

REPORTS:

Preparation of reports for controlling daily activities of stores & purchase dept. 

Timely preparation and submission of exception reports for the purpose of management.
