1. Client:JLR (Range Rover Sports, Discovery sports)

Project: Console side panel, Console side carpet panel, Console End cap, IP End cap, IP Mid roll.

(Substrate ,foam, Skin(Leather wrapping) 

Tool: Catia V5/Catia V6

Scope and responsibilities:

Style surface feasibility study.

Benchmarking of previous programs and carry over parts. 

CAD preparation of parts as per master section, assembly section, environment parts.

Studied and decided fixing strategies and creating B side features.

Ensuring tooling feasibility of part ,draft analysis ,thickness check .

CAD modifications as per requested by customer if any. 

Clash check of parts with environment data .



2. Client:JLR (New Jaguar XJ,F-Type)

Project:IP face duct and defrost ducts, Console ducts.

Tool: Catia V5/Catia V6

Scope and responsibilities:

Study of ducts path with respect to inlet and outlet vents, carry over parts, style surfaces of other 

environments.

CAD model preparation of ducts with JLR design standards. 

Packaging with environment parts.

Defining fixing and locating strategies. 

Ensuring tooling feasibility of CAD models , draft analysis ,thickness check.



3. Client:JLR (LR Defender, New Jaguar XJ))

Project:RMDV study of IP and console parts

Tool: Catia V5/Catia V6

Scope and responsibilities:

RMDV check for IP and console ducts as per JLR design rules. 

Clipping requirement study for IP and console parts.

Dynamic clearance check for Arm rest, GB and steering column.

Gap plan check for IP and Console parts as per gap plan catalogue. 

Minimum radius check for IP and console parts at the area of impact zone.



4. Client: JLR (Range Rover Velar )

Project: IP I-finisher , Center finisher ,IP reinforcement ,Knee Bolster Lid (AVA Methodology).

Tool: Catia V5/Catia V6

Scope and responsibilities:

Benchmarking of old program and competitor vehicles. 

Style surface analysis Master-section creation. 

CAD data preparation using GSD with parametric history.

Defining fixing and locating strategies . 

Ensuring tooling feasibility of CAD models, draft analysis ,thickness check, Clash check.

Modification of CAD as per customer requirement.

Keeping IP reinforcement common for LHD and RHD variant .



5. Client: JLR (Discovery, Defender new)

Project: FDJ-Tooling Trial support(GD&T, Release ,CAD changes support)

Tool: Catia V5/Catia V6

Scope and responsibilities: 

Calculated tolerance values for parts as per DIN standards ,Applied 3D Annotation on parts. 

ECR support -Proposed solutions to resolve part defect, issues during assembly of parts(IP and 

Centre console) online.

ECR document preparation and maintaining tracker record of ECRs.

Release activity of approved parts in Teamcenter , Enovia (Catia V6) with documents.



Technical Expertise and Skill sets

Sound knowledge of plastics behavior, properties, forming process and also tooling & assembly of 

plastic parts.

Benchmarking of competitor vehicles and old programs. 

CAD preparation as per style, master section, concepts respecting internal parts, assembly sequence, 

environment parts.

Good Knowledge of DFM and DFA.

Extensive Experience in CATIA with workbenches like Solid Modelling, generative Surfacing, 

Kinematics and KBE.

Design modification with respect to design parameters, material, packaging, gap-flush requirements, 

application and other technical, ergonomic or aesthetic requirements. 

Having fair knowledge of GD&T. Worked on 3D GD&T of parts. 

Executed RMDV checks and checking of parts as per design regulations.

Knowledge of Release process of products.

Communication with customer for queries and design proposals, work estimation, task management. ? Basic Knowledge of sheet metal.
