Industrial Training:

Industrial training at Hindustan Petroleum Corporation limited (HPCL).?

Major products are petrol, kerosene, aviation turbine fuel (ATF), diesel, and mineral ? ? ? turpentine oil (MTO).?

Units: Crude distillation units(CDU1,2,3),Fluidized catalytic cracking units(FCCU),Diesel hydro desulphurization(DHDS), sulfur and ammonia recovery units(SRU,ARU),units produce electricity by self and have safety units.



Project:

Done a project on General purpose Polystyrene (GPPS) through Industrial visit to LG polymers. Polystyrene is formed by bulk polymerization of styrene and benzene.

Polystyrene solutions used for water paints and surface coatings.

Polystyrene sheets used in electrical equipments like radio, television and refrigerator parts.

Polystyrene films used as electrical insulation and buttons, buckles, thermocol sheets.

LG polymers also includes other forms of polystyrene as high impact polystyrene (HIPS), expandable polystyrene (EPS).



Core Field:

Interesting Subjects are Fluid mechanics, Heat transfer, Chemical Reaction Engineering, Mass transfer.

Through industrial training in Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) had a practical learning of many pumps, valves. Had a thorough understanding of process of refinery products like petrol, diesel, ATF, MTO, kerosene etc. Also gone through Quality Control Labs By which variables can be optimized by process instrumentation.

Interested to learn more about the field practically by joining in a company.
