Developing polymer composites using waste and recycled?materials.

Epoxy resin used as matrix material with different sizes of rubber particles and mixing of glass fiber into the system to increase the weight of product. Through simple Casting process the desired shaped product was prepared and different tests such as tensile test, 3-point bend test, and charpy impact test was performed to understand the effect of rubber crumbs and glass fibers on mechanical properties of epoxy resin.

Two months summer internship at Nahata Polymers helped me a lot in enhancing my industry level working skills. Several tasks were executed to obtain the finest product with desired results such as:

Compounding of Polypropylene was done using twin screw extruder to promote the flow properties of polypropylene.?

Different tests such as Specific Gravity, Melt Flow Index, Ash Content, Izod Impact test, Tensile test, Heat Deflection test and colour matching were conducted.?
