1)TRF was awarded NTPC-Nabinagar Order in 2012 for the supply of Material Handing System for Coal Handling Project. Mechanical bought items like Gear Box, Coupling, scrapper, Actuator etc was the major items. A team was formed for procurement of all Bought out items for above project. I was taking care of procurement of Mechanical B/O Items. After doing the following exercises cost saving was achieved and also timely supply of mandatory spares.

Previously The mandatory spares order was separately done with abnormal price.Even there was no timely supply of spares leading to delay in project execution.

2)Streamline of Indenting Process-In TML Driveling there was no systematic process of Indenting of Machinery Spares Item. The followings were the disadvantage of manual process

3) Purchase requisition was developed through SAP System.. Once the PR is raised a System generated no is popped up. Item without material code is also captured in the purchase requisition. Authorization process was formulated for raising Purchase requisition to avoid duplication of purchase requisition.
4)Implementation of SRM in TML- Drive-lines.Write off Obsolete Spares
5) Cost saving achieved through online reverse auction system for HR Steel (Heat Resistant Steel- used for Fixture in Shield Quench Furnace-Wes-man Make ) . There was a crisis of Steel due to high demand of Bejing Olympic. Hence by adopting above process cost saving achieved appx 50 Lacs compare to existing rate.
